Donald Trump makes bizarre late night social media post and no one has any idea what he’s talking about

Even back in his less incoherent days, Donald Trump was famous for making social media posts like “covfefe” because he’s an idiot and there’s no oversight around him. But these days Trump rarely makes sense even when he’s trying to read from a script.

So it’s no big surprise that Donald Trump made this incoherent post to his Truth Social network tonight:

“This is the first step to becoming Bolivia, it’s not a good move.” Kim,? WSJ

There’s a lot going on here. First of all, according to Google, that quote doesn’t exist. No one has ever spoken those words. Also, why question mark? Trump is perhaps attributing those words to the Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel, who is cartoonishly pro-Trump. But does he not remember her last name? In any case, she never spoke these words.

The closest thing we can find is a Wall Street Journal roundtable in which Strassel did participate, and a comparison to Bolivia was made – but Strassel wasn’t even the one who said it. Who knows? At this point maybe Donald Trump thinks Kim Jong-Un said it, and that Kim Jong-Un also works at the Wall Street Journal. Makes as much as much sense as anything else Trump says these days.
