More bad news for George Santos
House Republican George Santos was just criminally indicted on thirteen felony counts, including the kinds of financial crimes that the DOJ nearly always gets a conviction on. How could things get any worse for Santos?
Not that getting reelected would help Santos much, given that he’ll be rotting in prison before then anyway. But now a viable Democratic candidate has jumped into the race to replace to replace Santos seat:

In other words, no one in politics expects George Santos to even make it to the end of his term, and a viable Democratic candidate is already declaring, just in case there ends up being a special election to replace Santos before we even get to 2024.
